This story is the te reo Maori edition of The Bomb. In this story about being true to oneself, a boy searches for the secret to doing the perfect bomb into the water. With training from Nan, an expert and former champion, and by listening to his own voice, he finds his unique style and pulls off a wonderful, acrobatic, truly awe-inspiring bomb.

It's summer and everyone is out doing bombs. This boy has an awesome teacher in his nan and advice from everyone but he still can't seem to get it right. Maybe he's just not cut out for the bomb life? But then he figures out the secret...

Another great book from Sacha Cotter and Josh Morgan (Keys, The Marble Maker) but I love this one best of all. It has a real kiwi tone to the language and I love that the te reo edition seems to have been written alongside the English edition. The illustrations are delicious and I really really want to climb Josh's imaginary diving platforms...and hopefully this book will inspire some fabulous swimming costumes this summer.

Perfect for 4-8 year olds - and a great one for nans to share with the mokos.
