It was a boast that would have terrible consequences. Once upon a time, a miller told the king that his beautiful daughter could spin straw into gold. Now the girl must complete this impossible task - and only a strange little man with a magical touch can help her. But he exacts a dreadful promise in return...With lyricism and grace, John Cech retells this suspenseful story and provides fascinating background on its origins.
