Description

Get ready for a trip to the fourth dimension in this thrilling H. G. Wells graphic novel adaptation!

At the turn of the nineteenth century, a group of friends listen to the adventures of a man who claims to be the world’s first time traveler. His story begins in the year 802,701. Earth is inhabited by the Eloi, descendants of men, who live in harmony, spending their time playing and eating fruit in an immense Garden of Eden. But beneath this paradise lies a terrible secret, for another species dwells in the depths of the earth: the Morlocks. These red-eyed, apish creatures thrive in darkness, and every night they rise to the surface to kidnap and feed on the Eloi.

H.G. Wells’ classic tale The Time Machine was one of the first stories to ever explore the notion of time travel. Now rediscover this incredible work of science fiction with a stunning, all-new graphic novel adaptation!

Author description

Dobbs was a film history teacher before he embarked on his career as a comic book writer. Since writing his first graphic novel, Welcome to Paradise, Dobbs has written a number of comics inspired by late-nineteenth-century literature and history, such as Scotland Yard, Mr. Hyde against Frankenstein, Alamo, and Allan Quatermain and King Solomon's Mines, and, more recently, adaptations of works by Stefan Wul and H. G. Wells. Mathieu Moreau is a freelance illustrator who draws in a very modern and dynamic style influenced by pop culture, science fiction, fantasy, comics, and video games.
