A unique take on the 'Where's My Mummy' scenario in which an egg crackles open and out steps a little creature - the Somethingosaur. He searches for his mum among the dinosaurs but she's nowhere to be found. But is the Somethingosaur really a dinosaur! or something even more exciting? And will he ever find his family and home? A warm, funny and jaunty rhyming text, full of adventure, that's great to read aloud.

Praise for The Cow That Laid an Egg: 'The Cow That Laid an Egg! had me in stitches. More than just a silly story about a cow who thinks she's laid an egg, there's something deeper here about the idea of family, but it's so integral to the story that you don't feel as thought you've been hit over the head with the sledgehammer of worthiness.' The Bookseller "A Charming, comical tale." Starred Editor's Choice Junior 'A wonderfully madcap story with wacky illustrations.' Nursery World 'Children will love the sheer craziness of this story, and Russell Ayto's spectacular illustrations are the perfect accompaniment.' Alison Green (for Child Education
