Would a Mayan warrior have worn a watch? Would a Viking have used a compass? Test your knowledge of history and spot 20 mistakes in every scene. Then, turn the page to discover if you were right and learn more fun facts about ancient civilisations, including the Ancient Greeks, the Ancient Egyptians, the Romans, the Mayans, the Vikings and many more!

Lands of Long Ago is a search-and-find book that takes you through history from the Neolithic Stone Age to 17th and 18th Century Pirates. In each image there are 20 objects to spot that didn't exist in that time period. Sunglasses on Medieval Knights? Forks in Ancient China? Each object comes with a fact about that time period. Did you know Vikings "carried special spoons with them to clean the dirt out of their ears"?

This book is for anyone who enjoys search-and-find books and is interested in history. Things to spot vary in difficulty so there is lots to learn. Carrots are hidden in a scene for Ancient Egypt. We find out on the next page that they grew many crops in Ancient Egypt such as wheat, figs and melons, but they didn't grow carrots, which weren't grown as a crop until thousands of years later.

A brilliant, informative and entertaining book full of fun and colourful illustrations.
