Kids can go on a musical adventure to the circus with an adorable dog Poppy as she meets new friends who introduce her to the sounds of musical instruments. With 16 buttons to push, children will be whisked to a different world while listening to the sounds of the different instruments. Full color. 7 x 8 5/16.
Poppy is passing by the circus and hears the musicians rehearsing for the show. The little dog just can't resist joining in.
The plot of this story is slight (but more than you often get in a sound book) and it's the sounds of each instrument which make this so great. From funky sousaphone to bluesy trombone, you and little one will be bouncing along just like we have been in the shop. And then they add in a few hilarious sound effects reminiscent of the old Don Linden stories from early morning radio just to give you a giggle.
Poppy also has another adventure, Poppy and the Orchestra, in which she meets a forest full of classical musicians. Just lovely.
One for all the music loving families out there - I'm giving a copy to my two year old niece to share with her clarinetist papa.
