Tania Atkinson is an experienced children's writer whose work has been featured on radio and television over the years. Her books include Pelorus Jack: the story of New Zealand's famous Dolphin, Collins, Auckland, 1984 (reprinted 1984, new edition 1995) and Mackenzie and his Dog, Hazard Press, Christchurch, 1993. Tania has been a high school English teacher and a research librarian at the Toitu Otago Settlers Museum, Dunedin and the Alexander Turnball library, Wellington. Today she lives in Greytown. Viv Walker, who is a graduate of Norwich School of Art, England, has illustrated three successful picture books. Elwyn's Dream - Saving the Takahe, Random House, 2008 (reprinted 2013), The Eels of Anzac Bridge, Fraser Books, 2012 (reprinted 2012), A Beam of Bright Light -the story of the Castle point lighthouse, Wai Art Press, 2013 (reprinted 2013). She lives in semi-rural Carterton with her family.
